It began as an idea by five Vitamin Shoppe employees. Some were seasoned bikers while others had barely made it past training wheels. But that year, 2004, Team Vitamin Shoppe made its debut. All five men dedicated time, money and energy and rode their hearts (and legs) out in the MS “Coast the Coast” Bike Tour to raise awareness and funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  By 2005, Team Vitamin Shoppe began receiving tremendous corporate support, and the team roster grew to 45 riders and almost 20 volunteers!

As the corporate sponsor of the 2008 “Coast the Coast” Bike Tour, Team Vitamin Shoppe hopes to make this the most successful year ever. The team’s great accomplishments would not have been possible without the ongoing support of Tom Tolworthy, CEO of The Vitamin Shoppe. From the beginning, he has made great things possible for the team, and has encouraged all riders to strive for optimal health as well as do their part in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
